No outside food/beverage is allowed in the Las Cruces Convention Center. All food must be purchased from the Convention Center.
For the safety and comfort of all our visitors, animals are not permitted in the Las Cruces Convention Center. However, animals that are part of an approved exhibit, display, or performance, which absolutely requires the use of an animal, will be permitted on a case-by-case basis. The customer is responsible for obtaining all appropriate permits. Service Animals (as defined by law) are allowed in the Las Cruces Convention Center. All sanitary needs for animals are the responsibility of the show or guest.

Yes, Las Cruces Police may be used as supplemental security. Contact the Event Services Department for details.
May I bring helium balloons for my event or to my booth?
Even though it may sound like fun, the distribution of helium balloons in the Las Cruces Convention Center is not allowed. If helium balloons are brought into the venue, the labor cost to retrieve the balloons will be charged to the individual customer so that we can continue to keep labor costs down for everyone. For safety reasons, compressed gas cylinders used to inflate balloons must be properly secured to prevent toppling.
May I hang signs for my event?
Yes, all signs weighing less than 250 pounds will be hung by the Las Cruces Convention Center personnel. During move-out, all wires, hooks, screws and hanging material used to hang your signs must be removed. Fire safety laws demand that all electrical and neon signs must conform to national electrical codes as required by the Las Cruces Convention Center. No venue signage (way-finding, Plasma TVs, or advertising signage) may be blocked for any reason.
Does the convention center provide signage for our rooms?
We have a Plasma TV system that will display your event’s schedule throughout the venue. We also utilize way-finding signs to assist your attendees in finding the appropriate rooms. Additionally, each room has a sign holder outside each meeting room for clients to use. The room signs and any other signage may be provided by the client.
Does the convention center have carts for us to use to take in our equipment?
We have a limited amount of carts and dollies; if additional carts are needed please arrange ahead of time with the Event Services Department.
How many meeting rooms does the Convention Center have?
10 Meeting Rooms, 1 Ballroom, 1 Exhibit Hall
How much does it cost to have concessions open during an event?
We require $500 in minimum sales per day for each concession stand.

May my exhibitors give out food/beverage/liquor samples and/or sell food on the show floor?
Yes, the Las Cruces Convention Center allows for sampling during an event. However, there are restrictions as follows:
What security features are offered at the Las Cruces Convention Center?
The Las Cruces Convention Center provides a safe and secure environment for you and your attendees. Security can be added, within licensed space by contacting the Event Services Department.
What is your loading dock capacity?
The Las Cruces Convention Center features 4 dock spaces. The dock is designed for loading, unloading, deliveries, and emergencies. There is no long-term personal vehicle parking in the loading dock, but the convention center is surrounded by adjacent surface lots.
Can I stay in my RV/motor home overnight at the Convention Center?
The utilization of an RV/Motor Home in the Convention Center parking lot is strictly prohibited. For information regarding RV Parks please visit the Las Cruces Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Food and beverage, utility services, housekeeping/janitorial, setup, rigging, and audiovisual are the exclusive services to be ordered directly through the Event Services Department.
The Las Cruces Convention Center is an open shop venue. Choice of labor for unloading, installing, dismantling and removal is at the discretion of the vendor/exhibitor.
The food and beverage departments are run by our in-house culinary team. By managing these departments in-house, our team has more flexibility and control over pricing, service, and quality.
Do you have a room capacity for each room? Where can I find that?
Note that capacities are based on simple room sets and do not take into account any additional components your event may require. Examples of items that can affect room capacities include, but are not limited to, head tables, staging, audiovisual components, etc.
Who is the audiovisual service provider?
The Las Cruces Convention Center provides professional in-house Audio Visual services. By customizing your AV services with our team, you will experience extraordinary customer service, along with the latest technology

Do you have microphones in the rooms and exhibit halls?
Yes. The Las Cruces Convention Center will customize an audio package for your event. Please work with your event manager to do so.
Does the convention center have carts for us to use to take in our equipment?
We have a limited amount of carts and dollies; if additional carts are needed please arrange ahead of time with the Event Services Department.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
We offer complimentary high-speed public wireless internet throughout the building. Premium Wi-Fi is available at an additional cost. Please consult with your Event Services Representative for more information and pricing.
Is there an on-site provider for internet/phone/fax/wireless services?
The Las Cruces Convention Center’s Event Services department can arrange for all of your telecommunication needs in-house.

The Las Cruces Convention Center has a dedicated parking lot with 375 paved spaces on the property. There are also 100 spaces of overflow parking located at the corner of Knox Street and College Avenue on the New Mexico State University Campus.
Please visit the Las Cruces Convention and Visitors Bureau for more information regarding hotels within close proximity of the Las Cruces Convention Center. The Convention Center is located within walking distance of many restaurants, and nearly 585 hotel rooms. Las Cruces offers over 3,000 total hotel rooms, Six (6) RV Parks, and Four (4) Bed & Breakfast/Boutique Hotels.
What’s the Weather Like in Las Cruces?
Las Cruces enjoys 294 days of sunshine a year. Temperatures in the summer months routinely reach the high 90s, with nighttime lows in the 60s. The fall air is a bit cooler with daytime highs of the mid-70s to low 80s. During the winter, when northern states are digging themselves out from under the snow, Las Cruces basks in daytime temperatures ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 60s. As spring arrives in March and April, temperatures climb steadily from the low to high 80s. Las Cruces receives an average of 8.5 inches of rain per year and no more than two inches of snow in the winter.

How far away is the Las Cruces Convention Center from an airport?
The closest commercial airport is the El Paso International Airport [ELP] located a short 45-minute drive from the Las Cruces Convention Center.
Do you have a list of nearby restaurants?
Please visit the Las Cruces Convention and Visitors Bureau for more information regarding restaurants within close proximity of the Las Cruces Convention Center.
Can the convention center accept packages prior to my move-in?
The Las Cruces Convention Center does not operate a shipping and receiving department. All shipments should be sent no earlier than 2 days prior to move-in. Packages being shipped need to be placed in the designated area on the loading dock, have all proper paperwork and a pickup call must be placed by the shipper. The Las Cruces Convention Center is not responsible for packages being misplaced, lost, shipped, or received therefore this liability falls directly on the shipping and receiving organization/person.
